As the Learning Resources Coordinator, you will maintain an accurate list of materials used in all Colorado Online pooled courses and serve as the liaison to the vendors and campus bookstores that stock Colorado Online course materials. As a System subject matter expert for Open Educational Resources (OER) tools, this role updates the Course Material and Teaching Resources Dashboard with accurate course materials information each semester and creates and distributes correspondence to students and faculty describing course material requirements for digital content and science courses. The Learning Resources Coordinator manages digital assets, including the learning object repository, Pressbooks, and the syllabus management tool and provide training and professional development systemwide.

  • Communicates with publisher reps and bookstore managers, as well as monitors publisher websites to stay aware of new editions and informs team members when the new editions must be adopted.
  • Maintains an accurate list of all materials, including digital integrations, e-texts, and lab kits, used in Colorado Online pooled classes. Provides deadlines for textbook adoption for all semesters; serves as a liaison between bookstore vendors, Colorado Online, and campus bookstores stocking Colorado Online textbooks and materials.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert for Open Education Resources (OER), Zero Textbook Cost (ZTC), and Affordable Course Materials (ACM).
  • Partner with the CCCS Library and Learning Design teams in the course development process by researching and identifying OER material and supporting the Online State Discipline Chairs and subject matter experts for OER, ZTC, and non-OER/ZTC courses.
  • Trains, educates, and guides instructors, subject matter experts, faculty, and staff on open content adaptation, production, and publishing.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
  • Experience with open education resources. Online education experience is a plus.
